Brace yourselves motorcycle fans for one of the most dangerous racing events in the world. The 2019 Isle of Man TT returns on May 25, and as usual, it brings plenty of excitement. It will kick off with one week of practice sessions followed by one week of racing, then concludes on June 7. So if you’re a fan of this event, then you probably know that only a few channels broadcast it. And to make it worse, these services are not available everywhere.
But in this article, we’ll show you how to unblock these channels from anywhere using a VPN, so that you don’t miss a single race.
Channels Streaming the 2019 Isle of Man TT
Only three streaming channels have broadcasting rights for the 2019 Isle of Man TT:
- ITV Hub (UK).
- Motor Trend on Demand (USA).
- Fox Sports (Australia).
But unfortunately, these services can only air the races inside their respective regions due to copyright issues. This means that if you try to access any of them from abroad, a location error message will appear on your screen. It’ll look like something like this: “The video you’re attempting to view is not available in your region.”
That’s because your IP address reveals your global position to the internet. When web hosts see that you are outside their coverage zone, they won’t allow you to view their programs.
Therefore, you need a VPN to help you spoof your location.
How to Watch the 2019 Isle of Man TT with VPN
A virtual private network (VPN) is a software that changes your geographic location by rerouting your internet traffic. It allows you to connect to any foreign server you’d like, and grants you a new IP address from that region.
So if you want to watch Isle of Man TT races on ITV, all you have to do is connect to a network from the UK. Then, your new Internet Protocol address will make it appear as if you were inside the region, thus unblocking the service. But that’s not all, this entire process will also give you access to any UK-restricted channel like BBC iPlayer, for example.
If you’re still finding this a bit complicated, just follow the below steps and you’ll be streaming the 2019 Isle of Man TT in no time.
- Visit the website of a good VPN service like ExpressVPN.
- Download and install the app on your PC, Mac, iOS, or Android device.
- Sign in and connect to a server from any of the countries mentioned above. (UK server for ITV; US server for Motor Trend on Demand; and Australian server for Fox Sports).
- Make sure you’re using your new IP address by visiting WhatIsMyIP.network.
- Feel the need… the need for speed.
Best VPNs to Watch the 2019 Isle of Man TT
As I previously mentioned, I recommend you use ExpressVPN. I personally use it to watch all sorts of programs and events when I’m abroad, and I’m always satisfied with the results. The company offers so many features, including:
Privacy and Security
The company offers strong security and privacy features like a military-grade AES 256-bit encryption. This protocol guarantees total anonymity and protection from hackers, ISPs, and government surveillance. Additional security tools include split tunneling, DNS leak protection, a kill switch
Furthermore, ExpressVPN implements a strict no-logging policy: “We never keep traffic logs, and we also don’t keep any logs that might enable someone to match an IP and timestamp back to a user. We work entirely on the basis of shared IPs, meaning that a single IP does not track back to an individual user,” the company states.
Fast Speed Rates
Furthermore, ExpressVPN offers one of the highest speeds in the business, despite using strong encryption protocols. This is perfect for streaming shows in full HD, or live sports events like the 2019 Isle of Man TT.
Torrenting and P2P Allowance
This service is also one of the best you could use if you like torrenting. It allows full file-sharing activity and, thanks to strong encryption, protects you from any potential legal action from copyright holders. And since it has fast servers, you can download/upload whatever you want in no time.
The brand is one of the very few providers that still have full access to Netflix. You can watch any library, including the US version.
Large Server Network
ExpressVPN has one of the largest server networks in the business, with more than 1,000 servers across 94 countries. This means that you can switch to any server you want, get a new IP address, and unblock any restricted channel.
30-day Refund Policy
ExpressVPN gives you a chance to get your money back in case you didn’t enjoy its services. You can apply for a full refund and receive what you spent without any hassle.
Other Brands to Unblock Streaming Channels
ExpressVPN isn’t the only provider with top features. If you want to check out more options before you make up your mind, you might want to consider the following brands. They are elite alternatives.
About the 2019 Isle of Man TT Races
The ‘Tourist Trophy’ races, also known as TT races, are an annual motorcycle sport event. The upcoming edition will take place from May 25 till June 7 at the Isle of Man, of course.
It is one of the most dangerous racing events in the world ever since its inauguration in 1907. Between that year and 2018, there have been 149 fatalities during official practices or races on the Snaefell Mountain Course. In 2016, five riders died on the course.
As a result, the Isle of Man TT always draws criticism when it comes to safety measures. In 2007, an incident during the ‘senior race’ resulted in the death of a rider and two spectators. The resultant inquest made several recommendations and included several comments, such as: ‘Senior Marshals may well have been elevated beyond the sphere of their competence.‘
Nonetheless, it is still one of the most prestigious and exciting motorcycle racing events in the sport.

How to Stream 2019 Isle of Man TT Online – Conclusion
“2019 will see the return to the Mountain Course of the 2018 record breakers: Dean Harrison and Peter Hickman. In perfect conditions, they pushed the lap record to over 134mph and finally to 135.452mph – making the Isle of Man TT the fastest road race on the planet. Can they go faster in 2019? Can John McGuinness, Michael Dunlop or Ian Hutchinson handle their pace?”
That’s the question that IOMTT is asking on its website. If you want to find out, get a VPN and see all the action live.
