2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup Broadcasters

Football fans can watch the 2019 CONCACAF Gold Cup on several streaming channels, including:

  • Fox Sports (USA)
  • TSN (Canada)
  • Repretel (Costa Rica)
  • TCS (El Salvador)
  • TV Azteca (Mexico)
  • Sport TV (Portugal)

But you should note that all these services are only available in their respective regions. This means that if you try to access them from abroad, the only thing you’ll see is a location error message. Your screen will display something like “This content is not available in your location.”

And if you’re wondering how can these channels determine where you are, point your finger of blame to your IP address. That numerical label reveals your location to the internet. And once websites see that you are outside their coverage zone, they’ll lock you out.

Therefore, you have to hide your IP address. And the best way to do that is with a VPN.

What is a VPN?

A virtual private network, or VPN for short, is a tool that can spoof your geographic location. It reroutes your internet traffic to another network of your choice, then gives you a new IP address from the region that you selected. As a result, you’ll appear as if you were browsing from there, forcing your web destination to unblock its content.

Simply put, a VPN allows you to connect to any foreign server you want. And with your new IP address, you’ll be able to bypass all online restrictions in a certain area.

But that’s not all it does. A VPN also enables you to:

  • Protect your privacy: All your data is encrypted when you use a VPN. Even your Internet Service Provider won’t be able to see your internet activity.
  • Improve your cybersecurity: VPNs protect you from various cyber threats like hackers on public WiFi networks.
  • Download safely: They also protect you from legal threats from copyright holders when you download files like movies and TV shows using torrents.
  • Bypass blocked content: You can use a VPN to get around censorship by rerouting your traffic through a server in another country.
  • Save money: You can save money while shopping if you appear to be using an IP address of a country where your items are located.

So as you can see, VPNs are really important tools with plenty of benefits. If you want to get your hands on one, here’s what you have to do:

  1. Select a reputable VPN service that has servers in all the above countries. We recommend ExpressVPN.
  2. Download and install the app on your device. You can also install VPNs on routers, smart TVs, and gaming consoles.
  3. Sign in and connect to a server from any of the nations that were mentioned earlier.
  4. Double check your new IP address on WhatIsMyIP.network.
  5. See who will lift the Gold Cup.

Why Use ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN is one of the best providers in the business. I always use it to watch football matches when I’m abroad, and it always gets the job done.

First of all, the company has over 1,000 servers in 160 different locations, including 94 nations. These include the US, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, and Portugal.

Second, it provides outstanding security and privacy features like a military-grade AES 256-bit encryption. This protocol guarantees complete privacy from government surveillance or ISPs, as well as protection from hackers. Moreover, you can benefit from additional specs like split tunneling, DNS leak protection, and a kill switch.

Third, ExpressVPN offers one of the fastest speed rates in the business, despite using a strong encryption protocol. This is perfect for streaming live matches in full HD as you won’t experience any buffering issues.

Furthermore, the company does not keep any traffic or search history data. It says on its website that: “We never keep traffic logs, and we also don’t keep any logs that might enable someone to match an IP and timestamp back to a user. We work entirely on the basis of shared IPs, meaning that a single IP does not track back to an individual user.”

However, ExpressVPN isn’t the only company that offers top features. The table below includes some top alternatives in case you want to check out more options before deciding.
